The Penny Hoarder

This is a website you have likely seen before, but if not you are in for a treat. Kyle is famous for his money-saving hacks and reviews on ways to make extra money. He provides the resources you need to save and make more money.

When I was 15 I started clipping coupons to help my mom pay the grocery bill. I joined a few coupon trading groups and started vigorously looking for new ways to cut costs. Our grocery bill quickly fell until it was under $20 a week.

I have since used my non-traditional methods of saving and earning money to help pay for rising tuition bills, car payments and rent, all the while never having to answer to a boss.

After much encouragement from friends and family, I’ve decided to start blogging about my wacky and weird ways to make extra money. And that is how “The Penny Hoarder” was born.

Subscribe to the newsletter and follow The Penny Hoarder on Facebook for current updates. This personal finance website is a favorite of millions!

TIPS to Avoid Scams for the Best Work from Home Jobs

Keep in mind with scams being so prevalent, even the best work from home websites and job boards can contain questionable listings. Consider these tips to keep your information and money safe from con artists:

Lie about your birthday on social media.

Your birthdate is private information and should not be available to the public. If you have your correct birthdate listed, change it. Also, do not respond to requests for your birthdate, Social Security number, credit card or banking information. These types of details are used by people who steal identities and money.

Do not wire transfer money or deposit International checks.

The money you send via a wire transfer is gone and you will never get it back. Also, do not deposit International checks into your bank account for a commission. The check will bounce and you will have trouble with the IRS.

Do not re-ship packages.

Do not ever re-ship packages for a fee. They contain stolen property and you can be held liable.

Google the company and make sure they have solid contact information.

If you only find job listings and warnings and you cannot find a valid website, physical address, phone number and email address, they are a scam. Quality companies prominently provide their information and will encourage you to contact them.

Avoid companies that require a fee to start.

Often con artists will require you to buy their training tools to qualify for a job and inventory to start work. It will be of no use to you. You will lose the money because this is how they profit.
